Privacy Policy

Jared Akers is the data controller. You can reach me at privacy@irseason.app about anything on this page, including deleting your data.

Account information, which you give me when you request access:

• Your iRacing customer ID (member ID)
• Your email address
• Your iRacing display name, retrieved from iRacing using your member ID

Racing data, retrieved from the iRacing Data API for your member ID only:

• Race results — series, track, date, start and finish position, incidents, championship points, strength of field, average lap times, and iRating change
• Championship standings and division placings
• iRating and licence class for each racing category

Information created by using the app:

• Usage counts — the date, how many times you opened the dashboard that day, and when you were last seen. This is a simple counter so I can tell whether anyone is using the app.
• Your display preferences — which series you show or hide, and the order you put them in
• Any permission granted for another member to view your dashboard

No IP addresses, no location or country, no device or browser information, and no advertising or analytics trackers of any kind. There is no third-party analytics service on this site. IP address, approximate location, and browser details were previously recorded alongside the usage counter; that collection was stopped and all previously collected values were permanently deleted on 1 August 2026.

No payment information is collected, because the app is free. No passwords are stored — iR Season never asks for your iRacing password.

The site stores your member ID in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits. This is strictly necessary for the app to work and is not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising. No cookies are set for analytics or marketing. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.

Consent. You asked for access and gave me your member ID and email so the app could show you your results. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking me to delete your account, which removes everything described above.

Legitimate interests. The usage counter exists so I can tell whether the app is being used at all and retire dormant accounts. It is the minimum needed for that and is not used to build a profile of you.

Your member ID and email come from you. Everything else — display name, race results, standings, iRating and licences — is retrieved from the iRacing Data API for your member ID, and only after you have asked for access. iR Season is not affiliated with or endorsed by iRacing.

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. It is not given to any third party for their own purposes. It is processed on my behalf by the services that run the app:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Render — database hosting and the scheduled data sync
• Resend — sending the occasional account email

These providers host data in the United States, so if you are in the UK or EU your data is transferred there. Another member can see your dashboard only if that permission has been explicitly set up; it is off by default.

Your data is kept while your account is active. If you ask for it to be deleted, it is removed in full — account, race history, standings, preferences, permissions, and usage counts. Accounts that go unused for a long time may be removed along with their data.

If you are in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. I will honour these requests wherever you live, not only in those regions.

Email privacy@irseason.app and I will action it, normally well within one month. There is no charge. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — in the EU that is your national supervisory authority, and in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office.

There is no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The app is not directed at children under 16.

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. If a change is significant and I hold an email address for you, I will tell you directly.
